Industrial machinery revamping in Zaragoza

A mechanically sound machine does not have to be scrapped just because its PLC is discontinued or spare parts are no longer available. With a revamp we replace the obsolete control system — PLC, screens, drives — and give the machine a second life with current technology, without the cost of a new one.

We plan the migration so that production downtime is kept to the bare minimum and the machine runs as well as or better than before, with new documentation and available spare parts.

OUR MACHINERY REVAMPING SERVICE

01

Migration of obsolete PLCs

Moving from discontinued controllers, such as Siemens S5 or S7-300, to current platforms like the S7-1500, keeping and improving the existing logic.

02

HMI and panel replacement

Replacing old screens or push-button panels with touch panels that show clear alarms and diagnostics.

03

Drives and motion

Renewal of frequency inverters and servo drives, with the parameter tuning needed to recover performance.

04

Safety control

We review and update the safety-related control — emergency stops, guards, light curtains — as part of the project.

05

Connectivity

We prepare the machine to send data to a SCADA, an MES or your management system.

06

New documentation

Commented program, updated documentation and a spare-parts list so maintenance is straightforward.

DOES ANY OF THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

  • Spare parts for the PLC or screen are no longer made, or cost a fortune.
  • Every electronic fault leaves the machine down for days.
  • Nobody in the plant understands the program or has its documentation.
  • You want to connect the machine to your production system and its controls will not allow it.

  2. 02

    Proposal

We send you the scope, timeline and quote in writing, so you know exactly what you will get.

  3. 03

    Execution

We develop and test as much as possible before touching production, working around your planned stoppages.

  4. 04

    Commissioning

We start up with you on site, train your staff and stay available for whatever comes up.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is a revamp worth it compared with a new machine?

If the mechanics are in good condition, usually yes: it tends to cost considerably less, and the machine is already paid off and integrated into your process. We assess it with you, with figures, during the initial assessment.

How long will the machine be down?

It depends on the scope. We prepare and test as much as possible before the shutdown so the on-site work is short, and we schedule it around your shifts or low-production periods.

What happens to the old program?

We analyse it so that nothing the machine does today is lost. If there is no backup or documentation, we rebuild it from how the machine actually works.

Can a revamp be done in stages?

Yes. It can be complete or partial: just the screen, just the PLC, or in phases to spread the investment.
